Emilio Vedova
Emilio Vedova (Venezia 1919 -2006) was an absolute master of visual art in twentieth century Italy. Of his many solo shows we recall here only a few of the most recent: ex-chiesa della Maddalena, Pesaro (1995); Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam (1995); Galleria Civica di arte contemporanea, Trent (1996); Studio Marconi, Milan (1997); Castello di Rivoli, Turin (1997); Galleria Ala, Milan (1999, 2001, 2005); Musei civici, Cagliari (2001); Galleria Nothelfer, Berlin (2004); permanent installation at the Berlinische Galerie, Berlin (2004); show traveling to the Italian Cultural Institutes in Chicago-Toronto- Los Angeles-San Francisco - New York (2005-2006); Galleria Salvatore, Milan (2005); Andrea Arte Contemporanea, Venice (2006); Galeria Poliart, Milano (2007); Torre Massimiliana, Venice (2007), Galleria Nazionale D'Arte Moderna, Rome (2007); Berlinische Galerie, Berlin (2008); Studio D'Arte Campatola, Rome (2008); Museo Correr, Ca' Rezzonico, Ca' Pesaro in Venice (2013). The honors received most recently included the Grand European Prize for Graphic Arts at the IV Biennial, Novo Mesto, Slovenia (1996) and the Premio Nonino (2003).
