Anselm Kiefer was born in Donaueschingen in 1945 and now works and lives between Barjac and Paris.

He has received many prestigious rewards of which we recall here only the Carnegie International prize, USA (1988); Praemium Imperiale prize, Japan (1999); Officier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, France (2002); Das Verdienstkreuz 1. Klasse des Verdienstordens der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (2006).

Visit the exhibition of selected books-artworks by Anselm Kiefer, a show conceived by the Gori Collection and organized by the Fondazione Jorio Vivarelli in co-production with the City of Pistoia, sponsored by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Pistoia e Pescia and in collaboration with the Galleria Lia Rumma Milan/Naples.
