Olavi Lanu

Olavi Lanu (born July 10, 1925 in Viipuri, Finland - died May 11, 2015 in Lahti, Finland)
He represented his homeland in the sao Paulo Biennale of 1967 and the Venice Biennale of 1978. In recent years he has preferred to install his art pieces in the wooded environment of Finland. His work is well represented at Retretti, headquarters of the country's largest center for performing and visual arts, where the artist has created pieces using hay, bark and moss. In the Kariniemi park the artist has been working for years on his monographic project known as the Lanu Sculpture Park.
