Sandro Veronesi

Sandro Veronesi was born in 1959. He graduated in architecture in Florence in 1985 but soon after he moved to Rome to devote himself to literature. From 1988, the year of publication of his debut book, For where this cheerful train departs, he has published eight novels and a dozen non-fiction books, translated into all the major languages ​​of the world. With his books he won the Campiello and Viareggio 2000 awards (La Forza del passato), Strega 2006, Fémina and Méditerranée 2007, Cévennes 2008, Novela Europea Casino de Santiago 2009 (Quiet Chaos), Superflaiano 2011 (XY), Bagutta and European Literature Prize 2015 (rare earths). He collaborates, as a journalist and opinionist, with Corriere della sera.
