A room in the former apartments of the villa's nobility now hosts an installation by Luciano Fabro. A ring of sheet copper runs around the top of the room's four walls, emphasizing the separation of Fabro's work from the nineteenth century ceiling painting that depicts an Oriental scene, typical of the time. Under this circle, the artist has placed a large panel striped with tin and copper on which the profile of Italy, reversed, is outlined with copper tubing. In addition, three "islands" are represented by white ceramic squares, on which black circles with green and red marks have been painted. Italy, as seen here by the artist, is polished and shiny but made of tin.
