A brief history of Prato

I was born and raised
in Prato. Now, “in the middle of the journey
of my life,” I’ve realized
that I love this city so
much that I see very few things wrong with it, and
the ones I do see are largely forgivable. In the ambitious attempt to write about some of Prato’s historic citizens, I had to restudy local history, and I discovered how interesting it is and how little I knew about it. This is where I got the idea to gather the historical events of our territory in an informal and light manner that could be used as a tool for students. Together with my friend Mario Landi, we decided that it could be useful to teach these topics to people coming from other countries as well.
