Concert dedicated to Daniele Lombardi 13.10.2018

Itinerant concert dedicated to Daniele Lombardi.

This itinerant concert presented a program of pieces selected for their connection to Daniele Lombardi. Some of his most cherished composers are represented as well as compositions that are tied to his affectionate friendship with Giuliano Gori. For this commemoration flutists Roberto Fabbriciani and Guido Pratesi, flanked by violinist Cristiano Rossi, paid special tribute to the Florentine artist/composer and to his permanent work for the Celle chapel: Porta Sonora: Divina.com, Paradiso.

The first two music stations - at Teatro di Beverly Pepper, where Roberto Fabbriciani played for the inauguration of the environmental work in June 1992 - and at Bowling, the program includes performances of acoustic music; in the final station, in front of the Porta Sonora: Divina.com, Paradiso the piece will be performed by a violin thanks to the extraordinary participation of Cristiano Rossi. To conclude an absolute premiere composed by Roberto Fabbriciani and dedicated to Daniele, music for flutes and live electronics.

Visit the exhibition of selected books-artworks by Anselm Kiefer, a show conceived by the Gori Collection and organized by the Fondazione Jorio Vivarelli in co-production with the City of Pistoia, sponsored by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Pistoia e Pescia and in collaboration with the Galleria Lia Rumma Milan/Naples. Lindsay Kemp: Dancing Drawing for Celle 12.09.2015

Inside the Limonaia space at the Fattoria di Celle the English artist carried out two large-scale drawings in front of the audience and accompanied by Stefano Agostini on the flute. Afterwards videos about Kemp's career and a conversation with Roberto Ferdani completed the celebration of the publication of the artist's book "Lindsay Kemp Wednesday Drawings". In collaboration with the galleria Peccolo, Livorno.

Brandimarte's first novel "Amalassunta" (Giunti pub., Florence 2015), recipient of the 2014 Calvino Prize, is presented by the author and Paolo Gori. Afterwards a film is screened, "Giuliano Gori: Remembering Osvaldo Licini" (2015, in Italian) by Biancalucia Maglione and Mattia Patti, Università degli studi di Pisa.

Organized by the Fondazione Cassa di risparmio di Pistoia e Pescia to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Alberto Burri's birth, the show (curated by Bruno corà) focuses on the friendship between the artist from Città di Castello and Giuliano Gori. The Collection loaned 8 artworks by Burri and contributed to the exhibition catalogue published by Gli Ori, Pistoia.

MAIMAO 2006

Casapeppe; Temporary exhibition curated by Giacomo Rambaldi and Lina Lopez entitled MAIMAO. A group show of Chinese contemporary artists who have used the figure of Mao Tse-Dong in their work. Later, the exhibition moved to the Orangerie des Jardins de Luxembourg in Paris to celebrate the cooperation between China and France. MAIMAO was later shown at the Fiera di Parma.

Jorge Eielson: Ultima Cena 1998

Former woodshed, Cascina Terrarossa; Inauguration of the temporary installation Ultima Cena by Jorge Eielson. The former storage area was completely darkened and only a low, bluish light allows visitors to glimpse the table, laid for thirteen places with the remains of a meal scattered across the surface, at the end of the room. Everything appears blue and distant, including the ladder and other objects which complete the work.

Ben Jakober, Yannik Vu: Tribute to Masaccio 1995

Cascina Terrarossa; Inauguration of the temporary Tribute to Masaccio by Ben Jakober and Yannik Vu. The artists had been present in the Collection since 1983 with Jakober's Tree of Peace.
In another project with the artists, the Gori Collection advised the Unione Industriale Pratese to acquire and donate the artists' Mazzocchio sculpture to the city of Prato for its 50th anniversary. Permanently installed near Porta Frascati in 1994, the Mazzocchio later lent its form to a miniature scale reproduction, in gold, to serve as the award for the "Umanesimo e Management Prize" (founded by Prato's Unione Industriale, Pratofutura and the Camera di Commercio).

Berto Lardera: Dramatic Occasion X 1993

Paolo and Paola Franci donate Berto Lardera's important work Dramatic Occasion X (1964-65) to the Collection.

Robert Morris: Labyrinth Portfolios 1993

Robert Morris presents two portfolios of prints devoted to the theme of Labyrinth. One of these contains five black and white engravings printed in twenty-five copies (A-Z/Z), while the other contains three lithographs and two engravings, both in color and printed in an edition of one hundred-twenty-five copies (1-100/100 e I-XXV/XXV).

Performance of Classical Ballet 28.06.1992

Spazio Teatro Celle; Classical dance recital. Choreography by Maria Rosa Villoresi, Studio Internazionale di Danza di Firenze, and Egon Madsen, Stuttgarter Ballet. The benefit performance contributes to the restoration of the Antica Farmacia del Conservatorio San Niccolò di Prato, and is organized by the "Comitato Consorti" of the Prato Rotary Club and by the Fattoria di Celle.

Spazio Teatro Celle; A commissioned performance is held to mark the tenth anniversary of the site specific art collection, the inauguration of Beverly Pepper's "amphisculpture" titled Spazio Teatro Celle: Filiate Walls, Precursor Columns (Homage to Pietro Porcinai). The recital L'ora alata. Wandererphantasie was written expressly by Maestro Daniele Lombardi from fragments of Ovid's Metamorphoses and excerpts from Jean-Jacques Rousseau; Sung by: Gabriella Bartolomei, choreographies chosen by Antonella Agata, set and costumes by Beverly Pepper.

Mosca: Terza Roma 1989

The Collection acquires the whole Mosca: Terza Roma exhibition, which it had organized together with Sala Uno in Rome (the show's first venue). After the Fall of the Berlin Wall, this historically important exhibition brings seven dissident artists to the West for the first time. Some of the participants, charged with working against the old regime's strict creative cannons, had undergone severe punishment in the USSR. The artists are: Andrei Filippov, Georgij Litichevskij, Boris Orlov, Dimitrij Prigov, Andreij Roiter, Vadim Zacharov, Konstantin Zvezdociotov. Entirely financed by the Gori Collection, the event receives official support from the City of Rome and the Italy-USSR Association.

Christo: Islands 1988

During their stay at Celle, Christo and Jeanne-Claude present their documentary Islands at the Cinema Roma in Pistoia.

Luciano Ori: Quadri di una Esposizione 1988 - 1991

Alan Sonfist: Cerchi del Tempo Portfolios 1987

Alan Sonfist carries out two portfolios of prints titled Cerchi del tempo. One of these contains three original wax engravings printed in one hundred-twenty copies (1-100/100 and I-XX/XX) while the other contains eight wax engravings also printed in one hundred-twenty copies (1-100/100 e I-XX/XX).

Located in front of the Collection's entrance gate, Alberto Burri's Grande Ferro Celle is installed.

Magdalena Abakanowicz: Katarsis Portfolios 1986

Florence, Stamperia La Bezuga; Magdalena Abakanowicz carries out two portfolios of prints titled Katarsis. One of these contains three original wax engravings printed in one hundred-twenty copies (1-100/100 and I-XX/XX) while the other contains seven wax engravings printed in one hundred copies (1-100/100).

Fattoria, West Tower; Emilio Vedova begins the creation of his first "disks," painted on both sides for an installation entitled Non dove.

Inauguration of the Site Specific Art Collection 12.06.1982

June 12, inauguration of the first fifteen site specific artworks, subsequently the collection opens to the public.
